Why start therapy? What are the pros and cons?
Therapy is a space for you to talk through life’s challenges, develop deeper insight into yourself, and improve your overall well-being. While there are many benefits to therapy, gaining greater insight into yourself may cause you to experience uncomfortable feelings, recall upsetting memories, and may disrupt relationships in your life.
Likely you are considering therapy because something is missing or not working in your life. Together I hope to support the parts of you that are ambivalent or frightened as we navigate the challenges ahead.

Do you take my insurance? What do you charge?
I am paneled with Aetna, UHC, Oscar, and Oxford. My out-of-pocket rate is $200 for a 50-minute session. EMDR sessions are available anywhere between 60 minute and 90 minute sessions. EMDR session fees are determined in the consult. All fees are on a sliding scale and will be determined on an individual need.
Payments are charged at the end of every session and will be processed through Ivy Pay, a HIPAA-compliant billing app.

Where will we meet? How often will we meet?
Currently I am primarily providing therapy primarily virtually. We will meet on Zoom. Every two months I have an office day at Union Square for us to meet in-person.
At minimum we will see each other weekly. Folks looking to deepen the work can request to meet with me 2x/week. Unless I am seeing you as one of my short-term patients, I practice long-term psychotherapy and coaching. You are free to end therapy or coaching at any time.

What will happen in the consultation?
All interested patients will receive a free 20-min video consultation where I will share with you more what my approach is and I will invite you to share more about why you’re seeking out therapy. At the end we will decide if we are a good fit for what you are looking for and decide on how to proceed.

How is coaching different from psychotherapy?
Both coaching and psychotherapy utilize knowledge of human behavior, motivation and behavioral change, and interactive counseling techniques.
Coaching is not a medical health service, mental health service, or any other type of health service. No diagnosis, treatment of, or advice regarding any medical or mental health condition or illness will be offered.
Coaching is not regulated by a state board and cannot be reimbursed by health insurance. Due to being unregulated, we can work together regardless of where you live.
